The mayors of Mostar and Isfahan signed the Agreement
The mayors of Mostar and Isfahan, Ljubo Bešlić and Dr. Ghodratollah Norouzi signed the Agreement on Cultural and Economic Cooperation between the City of Mostar and the City of Isfahan in Iran. Izet Šahović, Head of Finance and Real Estate Department and Sanela Demirović, Expert Advisor for International Relations of the City of Mostar, were also present at the signing ceremony of the Agreement.
With this Agreement, two cities that have monuments inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list, have expressed their desire and willingness to promote and strengthen their friendly relations and cooperation.
To this end, exchange of experiences and information in the field of city management, urban economy, city services, urbanism and architecture, urban development, transport, environmental protection, as well as fostering trade and economic cooperation and joint ventures in urban development projects will be conducted.
The cooperation in planning and implementation of projects of interest for both cities and the creation of the foundations for the active participation of private sector companies and entrepreneurs from two cities will also be pursued.
Tourism co-operation as well as the maintenance of cultural and friendly days in two cities will be supported.
