-This is a significant event for Mostar and for Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also for the UNESCO. Therefore, the Director-General agreed that the marking of the 10th anniversary is included in the 70th anniversary of the UNESCO. We really need to send to the world positive messages from Mostar which is why the Old Bridge was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a symbol of reconciliation, “said in his address Head of the UNESCO Office in BiH Mr. Siniša Šešum.

-I have to say that I am proud of the fact that Mostar is the first monument in golden letters inscribed on the List of World Heritage Sites. We've broken the ice, and I believe that this will make a major contribution to the development of tourism not only in Mostar but in the whole BiH. Some projects are already on the way. We want to build a strong brand, and this conference, which brings together international experts in Mostar will provide, without doubt, certain improvements and to show how the modern world works. I really think that
we are on a good way towards it- said Bešlić.
